On 01/30/20 Agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on the 1700 block of Northway Drive in North Mankato after an investigation into the sale of synthetic cannabinoids.
During execution of the warrant, agents located approximately 200 grams of synthetic cannabinoids in the master bedroom of the home. 35 grams of the synthetic cannabinoids was prepackaged into fourteen 2.5 gram bags, which is a common amount for sales. Agents also located a loaded 22 pistol in the home.
Roberta Florene Brown, 51, of North Mankato, was arrested and booked into the Nicollet County Jail. MRVDTF Agents arrested Brown for the same offense in November of 2019 at the same address. During that search warrant, agents located approximately 160 grams of synthetic cannabinoids and evidence of drug sales. Brown was released on her own personal recognizance after her first court appearance in November.
Synthetic cannabinoids are commonly referred to as “synthetic marijuana” which is incorrect because they do not contain THC or marijuana. Common street names for the dangerous and highly addictive substance are Shaman, K2, or Spice.
Brown is currently in the Nicollet County Jail on charges of 5th Degree Sales of a Controlled Substance and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
