Colleges and Universities

Bethany Lutheran College/Bethany Lutheran Seminary
Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) is a private, residential, Christian, coeducational, liberal arts college founded in 1927, owned and operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Bethany offers small-class sizes, personal attention, and close contact with advisors. Enrollment for the 2005-06 academic year was 566 students. Bethany also offers a broad spectrum of out-of-class activities in athletics, fine arts, and speech including some study tours abroad.

Minnesota State University, Mankato
Minnesota State University (MSU) is the third largest state educational institution in Minnesota, the largest post-secondary institution in southern Minnesota, and offers 158 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in 37 departments and colleges. Enrollment is approximately 14,000 per year. Areas of study comprised by six colleges include: Allied Health and Nursing, Arts and Humanities, Business, Education, Science, Engineering and Technology, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.



Business and Technical Schools

South Central College
South Central College (SCC) is a Minnesota Community and Technical College. The college now provides an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences degree, which allows students to complete the first two years of their Bachelor’s degree in a small, caring environment. SCC also offers over 50 technical majors in agribusiness, business, health occupations and industrial/construction technology areas. South Central College has campuses in Faribault and Mankato. SCC is a proud member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

Rasmussen College
Rasmussen is a private two-year college for business and professional careers. Areas of study include: Accounting, Business, Sales/ Marketing, Criminal Justice, Massage Therapy, Nursing, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy, Surgical Tech, Health Unit Coordinator, Computer Networking and several others. Day, Evening and On Line Programs are available. Campus locations include Mankato, St Cloud, Brooklyn Park, Minnetonka and Eagan.

Cosmetology Training Center
Located at 111 E. Hickory, Mankato, the Cosmetology Training Center provides courses in cosmetology, skin care, and manicuring.
