The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office continues to maintain an active crime prevention and community education program. These include programs aimed at children K-12 including: Safety Camp; D.A.R.E.; and prevention programs in the area of methamphetamine use in area high schools. Other programs are methamphetamine awareness presentations, community education on illegal drug manufacturing and distribution in the area, and community-wide policing and prevention efforts such as the Safe and Sober program. It is the Sheriff's Office's intent to continue with this type of programming and look for additional ways to make an impact on public safety and awareness.
