Printed absentee ballot applications can be faxed to The Blue Earth County Elections Department at (507) 304-4396. Absentee Ballots will then be mailed to applicants.

  • Ill or disabled
  • An election judge serving in another precinct
  • Unable to go to the polling place due to a religious holiday or beliefs
  • Military and overseas voters can refer to https://minnesota.overseasvotefoundation.org    for more information.

Absentee ballots are available 30 days prior to the state primary and the state general election.

You may pick up an application for an absentee ballot in person, or request one from Blue Earth County Elections Dept., BEC Government Center-Lower Level, 410 S. Fifth St., P.O. Box 3524, Mankato, MN 56002-3524, (507) 304-4341. The Blue Earth County Elections Department will mail absentee ballots to voters after applications have been submitted.
