Camping Reservations

RV Camping

  1. Campgrounds in County parks are established for the convenience and pleasure of the tourist and vacationer for overnight camping use. They are not intended as a place for permanent or semi-permanent residence, a base for the operation of a business, or a facility for non-camper use. Campground roads and facilities are for the use of campers and guests of campers, and shall not be used for just "driving through." In keeping with the purposes herein stated, park attendants are authorized to assign and operate campsites. Their actions shall be governed by the Blue Earth County board. The County Board from time to time may alter the control of said campsites based on considerations of use, varying patterns of use, the size of the camping area, the physical conditions of a particular campground, and availability of sanitary facilities.
  2. Camping is permitted only in designated camping areas within the prescribed limitations for the particular camping area.
  3. Camping shall be limited to a total period of two weeks in any one park during the period of May 1 through October 31.
  4. Advanced reservation of campsites will be accepted. Refer to Campsite Reservation rules.
  5. Each camping party must register upon arrival at the park.
  6. Camping registration begins at 2 p.m.  It is recommended that campers arrive prior to dusk, as the the gate to the park closes at 10 p.m.  Check-out time is 2 p.m.
  7. It is unlawful for any person to install permanently or affix any camping facility, equipment, or structure in a County park.
  8. The placement of tent stakes or anchors in the ground for the erection of tents is permitted, but digging or excavating for any other purpose is prohibited.
  9. A boat used for shelter or sleeping which is tied on park water frontage constitutes camping and is subject to these rules.
  10. In camping areas, the hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. are for outdoor solitude, and it shall be unlawful to make noise at a level above that of quiet conversation.
  11. Camping rates will be posted with the caretaker.

  11. Tent Camping:
    1. No tent camping by any child under the age of 18 years is permitted unless accompanied by and in the presence of a parent or guardian. With prior approval tent camping for children under the age of 18 may be permitted if tent camping is part of an organized group with adequate adult supervision.
    2. All charges for tents will be at the regular camping rate.
    3. Camping parties may include either one family or four individuals per tent.

  12. Camping rates will be posted with the caretaker.

Camping Reservations

    A camping reservation system is only available at Bray, (507) 243-3885, and Daly Parks, (507) 524-3000. Reservations can be made by phone, in person and online. Both tent and mobile camp sites are $15 a night ($10 a night for senior citizens Sunday through Thursday).

  1. Reservations will be taken only at the park for which the reservation is requested.


  2. Park personnel will take reservations from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


  3. Visitors may not make camping reservations prior to March 1 of the current year.


  4. A campsite may be reserved for one or more nights. On national holiday weekends, visitors will be asked to make reservations for a minimum of three camping nights. On all other weekends, visitors will be asked to make reservations for a minimum of two camping nights.


  5. A privilege fee of $4.00 per campsite will be charged to each reservation request. This is a one-time fee applied to each reservation request regardless of the number of nights the site has been reserved.


  6. To hold your site, the reservation fee and one night's camping fee must be received at the park at least one month prior to the date of arrival. The fee may be paid at the park in person or by mailing the fee to the park at one of the addresses below. If the fee is not received one month prior to the arrival date, the reservation will be considered canceled.


  7. Bray and Daly Parks have set aside 100 percent of its campsites for reservations. The park caretaker will select the site for each party when a specific site has not been requested.


  8. Camping fees and reservation fees are not refundable. No written confirmation will be made.
