Roads and Bridges
| The Public Works Department provides transportation services to citizens through a system of over 720 miles of highway and 120 bridges. The County plans, designs, constructs, operates, and maintains this system to link our township roads and city streets to other country highways, state highways, and communities. It provides access to our farms and commercial, industrial, educational, and cultural resources. |  |
Services provided to our townships and small cities include bridge inspection; bridge replacement assistance; technical consultation; and sale of culverts, signs, and other road and bridge materials. |

Services available to individuals through the Mankato office include calcium chloride for dust control; county highway maps; and permits for driveways, overweight/oversized loads, and utilities on road right-of-way. Call (507) 304-4025 for more information. |
